SoDA has created a special edition report under the SoDA Report moniker to provide a glimpse into one of the largest interactive festivals in the world.

First launched in 1994, South by Southwest (SXSW) Interactive attracts more than 35,000 attendees from around the world to Austin, Texas for a week of brimful networking, technological first-looks, and famed Texas beer and BBQ. Over the years, SXSW has quickly become a platform for startup culture and an innovation lab for entrepreneurs and technologists seeking to create the future of digital culture.

Taking into consideration the eclectic nature of SXSW, this report is designed for those looking to glean insights and experiences from a global viewpoint. Contributors to this report are a select few proud SoDA members hailing from the Netherlands, Canada and across the local United States. They range in experience level from the first-time SXSW attendee to the festival veteran – familiar with the ins and outs of downtown Austin.

This special edition will live within a stellar library of other deep dives into common issues and trends that are impacting the companies and people who are creating the future of marketing and digital experiences.
